Rocks are so important... they look fantastic, are great to play with and spark the imagination. They were born in Cornwall many 100s of millions of years ago. We're trying to trace their family tree. More to follow.

We love our Rocks.. and this is how they got here...
This is how the giant looked before his houses and friendly rocks arrived to keep him company... in all weathers...

The first rock is loaded on. It's a whopper.

Loading
Chris supervises the rocks being loaded on to his lorry. Each one weighs about 1 - 1.5 tonnes!

Only on layer of rocks.. two would be greedy

When fully loaded the rocks weigh over 20 tonnes.

Mrs Parsons checks on each rock
There were lots to choose from so the shape, size and place were carefully thought about before we got them back to school.
Keeping our rocks safe...

Mrs P secures the rocks and the side curtains of the trailer.
A happy home
At last our rocks are settled and in their new home...

The view from our stone circle. We wonder what stories and amazing tales will grow from this beautiful place...

Helping hands...
We know some local builders with front loaders... Rocks are usually moved in 10 minutes. Thanks Mick at Taylor-Wimpy and his drivers. They're just across the road from us.
