Learning is successful when...
Choose your top 3
Young people get better test or exam results
Young people are encouraged to aim high in life
Young people have better chances in life
Young people stay on at school after 16

Young people learn the skills they need to get a job
Young people learn the skills they need to live
All schools and centres of learning are excellent

You enjoy learning most when…
What's important to you?
1 = most important &
10 less so
you can learn inside and outside

you are excited and interested in what you are doing
you are learning at your own level (just the right amount of challenge)
you can keep learning on the same thing for longer
you can use computers and the internet to help you
you can understand what you have to do and how you can improve
you don’t only have to learn in school but can keep learning at home as well
your teachers are positive about you and think you’re great
you can be active and doing things
you can choose what you want to learn

Learning is inclusive when…

(TRUE or FALSE?)

school attendance is high

  there are lots of exclusions
school is a safe place to be and everyone is supported well
young people with difficulties can learn alongside everyone else
young people with problems are not helped
young people have the chance to say what they think when decisions affect them

parents and carers are not allowed in the school buildings

Learning is accessible when…
There is lots of choice
Chose how many smiles represent your views
you can choose the school that suits you

you can choose the subjects that suit you

you can choose to learn skills that will help you find a job

there is a lot of support
if you need help because of learning difficulties

if you need help because you have problems at home

if you need help because you are being bullied

you can
come to school for breakfast and before school clubs if you want to

stay at school later to take part in clubs and activities if you want to

take part in clubs and activities in the school holidays if you want to

school is that place you can go for information, advice and guidance about careers, your health, your emotions, etc

Ethical learning is about…..

learning to be more caring and understanding to others

learning about other people’s lives, their cultures, beliefs, etc
learning to be responsible and independent
  knowing right from wrong
thinking about the future of our planet, making it ‘green’ and sustainable
having confidence and believing in yourself
  having values to live by
working with the whole community, locally and globally

Some people say that Ethical Learning is the most important aspect of learning.
What do you think? Which is most important to you?

Learning for me is about…..

Need the most of...
